Antelope Island

Wildlife photography by Nick Oman Photography.

When seen from a distance Antelope Island appears to be an uninhabitable environment devoid of any living creature. In actuality it is a thriving ecosystem of wildlife from tiny birds to huge bison, that roam free almost anywhere on the island. Because of the close proximity to Salt Lake City, Antelope Island can be overlooked by people seeking the great outdoors and I fell into that trap myself. Luckily I went anyway.
